The Club

Oranmore Maree GAA One Club is one of the biggest clubs in the West of Ireland with up to 1,800 members. It competes in all 4 codes from juvenile up to senior level.

Since its foundation in 1967, the parish of Oranmore Maree has grown substantially, with over 10,000 inhabitants living in the area today. There are 4 primary schools and a secondary school in the parish, with over 2,500 students attending school every day.

The GAA community has grown at a similar rate. The three clubs (Oranmore Maree GAA, Oranmore Maree Camogie & Naomh Mhuire Ladies Football) are progressive and vibrant, and the combined club is among the fastest growing in the West of Ireland. As part of this progression, the three clubs amalgamated into One Club in 2019.

At present, there are two community pitches and one juvenile pitch owned by the Oranmore Park Committee and the Maree Development Association respectively. These pitches serve in excess of 100 hurling, football, camogie and ladies football teams ranging from the academy section through to adults. Some of these facilities are also shared with other sporting bodies.

Demand for the playing facilities far exceeds capacity and all the facilities adhere to a very rigid timetable with no room for flexibility.
